Bethel Baptist Church Playground - Rotaract and Rotary
The Rotaract Club of Birmingham and the Downtown Rotary join forces to build a playground for youth and families at Bethel Baptist Church Saturday, May 10. “We can never do enough to promote community and family,” said Leigh Nicholson, Community Service Chair for Rotaract Club of Birmingham. The playground is made possible by a grant made by the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, and the generosity of Dunn Building Company. The playground was designed by Rotarian Jim Griffo, senior partner at Gresham, Smith and Partners, and Chuck Kelly, a Sunrise Rotarian. - “It takes a community of people to build a community,” said Al Folcher, Rotarian and City Planner for Vestavia Hills. “This project proves that by working together we can make things better and stronger.”
